NZ visa changes: The changes include new income thresholds. To qualify as skilled, immigrants will need to get a job in which they earn at least the median income. To qualify as highly skilled, they will need to earn at least 150 per cent of the median income.
Just thinking aloud - change import laws such that all imported products should be of "high quality" or "very high quality" and to qualify they should cost at least the median price of local goods or 150% for "very high quality".
